the location was perfect and the beds were super comfy. brekfast was really good, even tho it wasn't included. staff were friendly and helpful. loved how clean and tidy the room was, felt nice to come back to after a day out. didn't have to worry about noise, really peaceful.
but the room was just a bit dated and could use some freshening up. also, the towels were kinda worn out and not what i expected at a hotel.

great central access to parks and landmarks
During my stay, I loved exploring nearby attractions like Lowther Gardens which is about 5 km away and enjoying the park views at Lynwood Park, just a short walk at 1.5 km from the hotel. it's a perfect base for anyone eager to discover the essence of the area.

Great getaway with friends! We had a blast exploring nearby Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Enjoyed fishing and cycling around too. The rooms were comfy and the vibe was nice, perfect for a relaxed weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We faced a hiccup when we arrived. our room wasn't ready until 4 PM, which was a bit frustrating after a long journey. It would be great if they could improve their check-in time.

Recommended for a weekend getaway
The food at this place was fantastic, I mean seriously, best meal I've had in a long time. Breakfast was a real treat too, plenty of options and everything tasted fresh and well cooked.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still reasonable given the quality.

The decor in the restaurant and bar area is charming, creating a lovely atmosphere for dining. The food served is hearty and well-prepared, particularly the Neapolitan pizza, which everyone found enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service could improve. we experienced long waits for food and were disappointed with the freshness of some dishes. Despite these setbacks, the clean and comfortable accommodations made for a pleasant stay overall.

The room was spacious, and the staff's dedication truly stood out. Jill's willingness to accommodate my tall colleague by changing our room was impressive.

The Birley's decor exuded charm that's perfect for seniors. The accessible areas were lovely, allowing easy navigation without any fuss—just what one needs for a relaxing getaway.
More grab rails in bathrooms would be beneficial.

Families will love it here
Had a lovely Mother’s Day meal with family-great attention from staff, especially chef Adam who even came out for a chat. The beef main course was delicious, and we enjoyed the kids' brownies, they cleaned their plates like champs!
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

The bedroom was comfortable and equipped with handy amenities like tea and coffee facilities, along with a spacious bathroom featuring modern fixtures. Breakfast options were plentiful and customizable. I particularly enjoyed the full English breakfast, which was well-prepared. the internet connection had occasional issues, though I found it acceptable overall. The room could use a refresh as it felt a bit dated compared to the charming pub decor, but this did not detract significantly from my stay.
